Prayer Works When You Work It
Prayer is like a tool—something you have to use for it to work. Imagine you’ve got a hammer in your hand, but you never swing it. You’d never build anything, would you? That’s how it is with prayer. It doesn’t do much sitting idle on the shelf of your life.
You’ve got to engage with it. Prayer isn’t a magic trick or a quick fix. It’s a relationship, a conversation with God, and like any relationship, it needs time and effort.
The more you talk to Him, the more you see His hand in your life.
Think of prayer as a seed you plant. At first, it doesn’t seem like much. But with consistent care—praying with faith, staying committed—your prayers start to grow. They start producing fruit. You may not see it all right away, but trust me, the harvest is coming.
When you pray, you’re tapping into God’s power. But that power only flows when you work it. You can’t pray once and expect everything to change overnight.
You have to keep praying, keep believing, keep asking. God is faithful to answer, but His timing is perfect.
So don’t get discouraged. Keep pressing in. Just like when you work on something and see it improve, the same goes for your prayer life. Prayer works when you work it. When you bring it before God with expectation, trust, and consistency, things will start shifting.
You’ll see the change, and you’ll know it was God who made it happen.
